Movie reviews tend to serve two purposes:
- Help the reader determine whether or not to see the movie.
- Provide the reader with commentary about the movie after they have seen it.
Unfortunately it is difficult to do both in a single review. How can a reviewer provide substantive commentary with out revealing crucial plot points and “ruining” the movie for those who haven’t seen it?
HEIGHT movie reviews will follow the following format:
Part 1: A general review of the movie without plot spoilers.
Part 2: Answer the question: Is it worth seeing?
(If you havent seen the film and plan on seeing it, this is where you would stop reading the review)
Part 3: A more indepth analysis of the film (Spoiler Alert City)
Part 4: Grade the movie using the basic American academic grading system – Highest possible grade being an A+, lowest being an F.
